Big Burns Supper, Dumfries

Soul Junction visited Dumfries on 25 January to perform at the famous Big Burns Festival. We entertained a fabulous late night party, in breathtaking surroundings.

the fabulous champagne bar

the knee-sliding dancers in front of the stage

the huge range of great bands

the Coach and Horses for  intimate acoustic sessions

karaoke at the Douglas Arms

the unique mix of tartan and burlesque

visiting Burns’ house

haggis, black pudding, square sausage and tattie scones in the lovely Burns cafe

 

We belted out two hours of cracking soul dance music and awarded lots of our special badges. We even managed to sneak in a bit of Scottish soul, the quirky 1958 Hoots Mon!
