Maryport Blues Festival 2017

July 2016..... We were at Maryport Blues Festival, lying on the grass in the sunshine, listening to some great bands. We decided then and there that Soul Junction would aim to play at the festival the next year.

July 2017 ..... Soul Junction played a set on the outdoor stage at Maryport Blues Festival. So much fun ... the sun shone and the festival goers were well into the soul groove, dancing to some classic songs. They loved Nutbush and River Deep, also our fab instrumental Time is Tight.

Memories of Maryport: amazing bands such as Jon Amor, Blackballed, Earl Thomas, Todd Sharpville, fish and chips, cycling between gigs, giant rugby club breakfasts served by really great kids and their rugby-playing  dads, sunshine, good crack and friendship everywhere, and music, music, music!

We've made loads of new friends in Maryport and can't wait to go back in 2018!
