Acre Rigg Social Club

Our first visit to the Acre Rigg Club at Peterlee coincided with the Halloween weekend parties, so we arrived to a club that looked like a scary movie set, with giant moving ghouls and monsters! We won’t talk about the spiders.

It was a really good north-eastern welcome, with offers of help, a drink for everyone, great chat from all the locals and even a tasty pie for each of us at the end of the gig. It’s amazing how hungry you can feel when you’ve been performing all night!

We quickly established that the good folk of Peterlee have a great sense of humour, love Soul and Motown, enjoy getting up on the dance floor and know how to enjoy themselves. Perfect!
