The Witham, Barnard Castle

We drove through snow and fog on Stainmore to the Witham Arts Centre in Barnard Castle, and our first gig with our new singer Lisa. The Witham’s a superb, well-designed venue for music and it turned out to be an excellent evening. We played in the beautiful Victorian music hall. In the interval we chatted to locals from Barnard Castle, Richmond and Darlington, and also people who’d travelled from quite a distance to join us. Lisa was on top form and her strong, soulful vocals throughout the gig were impressive. Bob also sang his first solo song with us - Otis Redding’s Fa Fa song, doing a cracking job.T hank you to Jane, Ian and all the lovely volunteers at the Witham.
