Twisted Tongue, Whitehaven

Our first visit to the Twisted Tongue coincided with the closure of all major roads leading to Whitehaven so we had an interesting cross-country journey, involving fellside roads, cows and a ford.

We had a very warm welcome at the Tongue, helped by a few beers, and good west Cumbrian audience, who were keen to crack on with the serious business of dancing and having a good time.

We’ve been trying out some new songs and we performed ‘Treat her Right’ for the first time in years - went down really well, with some cool moves on the dancefloor.

We hope to back at the Tongue before too long!
